Lent is a time to renew and immerse ourselves in our Baptismal call and commitment. The Call to Holiness, to take on the mind and heart of Christ in all our words and actions, is at the heart of our baptismal commitment as the Lord’s disciples. This call and commitment continually spurs us on to deepen our awareness of and response to our God who invites us into a loving relationship from the first moment of our existence.
In Rejoice and Be Glad (Gaudete et Exsultate): On the Call to Holiness in Today’s World, Pope Francis guides us on our journey to a deeper, loving relationship with our God.
On five Wednesday evenings in Lent, beginning March 13 and ending April 10, from 7-9 PM we will walk through Francis' guide on the call to holiness in today's world and the very practical and concrete ways in which holiness is cultivated. We will repeat the sessions on Thursday mornings beginning March 14 and ending April 11, from 10 AM to Noon.
Sessions will be facilitated by Biagio Mazza, Pastoral Associate, St. Sabina Parish.
