The Board of Directors of Cranaleith Spiritual Center is searching for a qualified individual to serve as Executive Director. Cranaleith is a ministry of the Sisters of Mercy.
Located in Philadelphia on a 10-acre "Sanctuary of Trees," Cranaleith offers a gracious, contemplative environment in which people of all faiths, cultures, and circumstances can reflect on what matters deeply in their lives, renew their spirit for life or work, and seek healing from life’s traumas.
Cranaleith provides a rich array of opportunities for spiritual retreats and spiritual growth, embracing those from all walks of life. This includes a wide range of custom-designed and facilitated programs for the underserved and for nonprofit organization staff members who work in solidarity with them. Cranaleith also sponsors programs for people in business to reflect on the integration of their work, life and values. A Formation Program for spiritual directors is grounded in the spirituality of Mercy, with a focus on, but not exclusive to, the accompaniment of those on the margins. Cranaleith addresses the spiritual root of the wounds in society itself and a vision of a world transformed in God’s tender mercy.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute the mission and fulfill the strategic vision of Cranaleith.
Develop and manage strategic plans and annual operating /budgets.
Outreach and build a broad base of support with donors and foundations capable of major gifts to sustain the mission.
Lead the staff and manage the daily operations of Cranaleith.
Collaborate with staff and adjunct faculty in establishing programming grounded in the Mercy Charism and the Critical Concerns of our times (racism, immigration, earth, violence and women).
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a non-profit leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a leader, optimally in a faith-based setting.
Non-profit administrative/management experience, supervising people and managing budgets. Successful experience in fundraising and donor development.
