Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center in West Hartford, CT ministers to some 19,000 men, women, and youth each year with a message of hope, spiritual growth, and transformation. Since 1951, our retreats have provided people with an opportunity to quiet their mind, nourish their spirit, and explore their relationship with God. Holy Family is seeking a full-time (40-hour) Retreat Team Member beginning August 1, 2025. The ideal candidate should be Catholic and possess credentials and experience in ministry within the Catholic Church. A Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or Master of Arts (M.A.) in Pastoral Ministry is preferred. Fluency in Spanish is required, and preaching during retreats is an important component of this role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate and expand the Hispanic Ministry at the Retreat Center with the assistance of volunteer team members (10 hours per week).
• Prepare one or more conferences (30-minute talks) for certain weekend retreats, using the same conferences weekly throughout the season for the themed retreats.
• Lead workshops on a variety of topics related to the retreat theme during weekend and one-day retreats.
• Preside over and preach at prayer services as needed.
• Be available for individual conferences to provide minimal pastoral counseling during retreat programs and prepare to give referrals when appropriate.
• Lead Days and Evenings of Reflection and other programs conducted by the Retreat Team.
• Participate in promotional efforts for the Retreat Center.
• Guide and coordinate Sunday Confirmation Retreats (10 hours per week).
• Assist the Director of Youth Ministry and Team with Grade School, High School, Confirmation, and College Retreats.
• Assist in leading Retreats for Catholic School Faculty groups.
• Attend regularly scheduled staff and team meetings.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of retreat programs.
• Report to the Retreat Director for job description and annual review.
