Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si', calls for a "broad cultural revolution" to confront our environmental crisis. Join the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, in Kansas City, Missouri, and St. Joseph Sr. Barbara Jennings on Saturday, April 17, for their "Linger Over Breakfast" series as they see where are we today, and what we still need to do to care and protect our common home. Together, how can we focus on not destroying the Earth’s resources for profit, divest from companies harming the environment, and prepare for Earth Day on April 22, showing our support for environmental protection?

Jennings taught at St. Teresa’s Academy & Avila University. She served with the Catholic Worker in Kansas City, the NETWORK organization, and serves on the boards of Midwest Coalition for Responsible Investment, Seventh Generation Interfaith Coalition for Responsible Investment (SGI). She is also a member of the Interfaith Center for Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) in New York City, which worked with corporations such as Monsanto, Boeing, Ameren, Arch Coal and others by meeting in dialogue about clear and doable goals, writing shareholder resolutions and attending annual shareholder meetings.
