My reasons to impeach the president

Donald Trump can no longer be accepted as President of the United States. He has disgraced his office and abused his powers. His reaction to the neo-Nazi and right-wing attacks on innocent protestors in Charlottesville, Virginia, was the last straw. Trump's equating of the neo-Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan with the people they stand against, and, in one case, killed is a glaring example of Trump's lack of a sense of morality and justice.

Instead, he emboldens the hatred, prejudice, racism and anti-Semitism of these extreme un-American groups. By doing this, Trump has shown his own un-Americanism. Americanism has no room or should have no room for those who still hail Adolph Hitler and his thugs. We cannot have an American president who does not know the difference between neo-Nazis and civil rights proponents.

I believe that Trump's lack of moral leadership and his own racism and hatred disqualify him from being president. It shows that he is incapable of leading a democratic system. Americans need to disavow him and to demand that the Congress impeach him. He is incapable of holding his office due to being disabled by his vicious enmity toward other Americans he disagrees with — and his unwillingness to be the president for all Americans.

This is, in my opinion, an impeachable offense. I doubt that the Republicans who control Congress and who themselves display little moral courage to stand up to the tyrant and would-be dictator disguising as president will do this. So what is to be done? Americans have to take their destiny and that of the country into their own hands and refuse to accept whatever Trump dictates through executive orders and instead put pressure on our local officials in city, county and state positions to also not adhere to what the president attempts to impose on the country. What needs to be done: mass demonstrations, bodies on the streets, boycotts of corporations that do not disavow Trump's reprehensible statements and actions, and voting for anti-Trump candidates. Americans above all must demonstrate in order to force Trump to resign from office. We cannot have an immoral and hateful president.
