Elizabeth Ann Hendricks

Elizabeth Ann, oldest child of Joseph J. and Margaret C. Griesemer, originally of Billings, MO, and sister to 14 younger siblings, and mother of 6 living children was th beloved wife of James H. Hendricks spouse for over 65 years, died peacefully October 2, 2018 in Springfield, MO near the home of her youngest daughter where she had lived for some months after suffering series of strokes.She is remembered also as a gifted and devoted musician, having served as the organist at her home parish of Queen of the Holy Rosary in Overland Park, where her husband served as lector.  In addition, she taught numerous young people piano, including all her children and many of her grandchildren.  She was an alumna of Mount St. Scholastica College in  Atchison, Kansas which benefited from many generous donations from Elizabeth and Jim over the years.  In her later years, she also became  a member and leader in the Daughters of St. Francis De Sales.  These involvements reflected her three stong values: family, music and church as noted in the homily given at her funeral, at her home parish.
