Sr. Dorothy Stang show in Phoenix area

 |  NCR Today

For those in the Phoenix area:

On the first weekend of February, Adrian Dominican Sr. Nancy Murray will perform at two parishes her one-woman show about Sr. Dorothy Stang, a sister of Notre Dame de Namur and an advocate for Brazilian peasants who was shot by gunmen in 2005.

Murray has performed her other one-woman show, "Catherine of Siena: A Woman of our Times," for the last few years. Her show about Stang was requested by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in 2010 as an anniversary tribute of Stang's death, according to The Catholic Sun, the paper of the Phoenix diocese. Read the story about the show at The Catholic Sun website.
