The Agape Community of the Deignan Institute for Earth and Spirit at Iona College invites you to join us on Zoom for a night of dialogue and reflection as we consider together the connection between spirituality and veganism. The event will consist of three short reflections by Jeanelle Wheeler, Katya Freitas and Jim Robinson as well as time for small group discussions and collective reflection. You are invited to join regardless of your faith, spirituality or dietary practices. All are welcome!
Jeanelle Walker is a Providence public middle school ESL English teacher and former co-leader of Brown University's Animal Rights Coalition and Mercy for Animals fellow. She is also a part of Sunrise Providence and Agape's Mission Council.
Katya Freitas is the former president of the Student Organization for Animal Rights and campus representative for PETA at Hofstra University. She is currently interning at Agape.
Jim Robinson is a member of the Religious Studies department at Iona College, associate director of the Deignan Institute for Earth and Spirit and a member of Agape's Mission Council.
