About the Role
National Catholic Reporter (NCR) is seeking a Manager of Constituent & Data Services to lead our fundraising technology, donor data strategy, and gift operations. This position serves as the internal expert for Salesforce NPSP and provides the analytics and infrastructure that support donor acquisition, retention, and growth.
This role partners across Advancement and Marketing to improve the reader-to-donor journey, strengthen reporting, and ensure data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as administrator and strategic owner of Salesforce NPSP, managing system enhancements, workflows, reports, and vendor support.
- Develop donor analytics and reporting to measure fundraising performance, donor conversion, upgrades, and major gift opportunities.
- Create and manage donor segmentation for fundraising campaigns, stewardship, and marketing initiatives.
- Oversee prospect management, wealth screening, and moves management processes.
- Maintain data integrity through governance, record standards, deduplication, and automation.
- Supervise gift processing operations across all giving channels, including acknowledgments, recurring gifts, pledges, and reconciliation with Finance.
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations, donor privacy standards, and charitable solicitation requirements.
- Collaborate with Advancement, Marketing, Finance, Editorial, and Technology teams to support organizational fundraising goals.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising operations, donor services, CRM management, or advancement analytics.
- 2+ years of Salesforce NPSP administration experience (or equivalent nonprofit CRM expertise).
- Strong experience with fundraising analytics, segmentation, reporting, and data management.
- Experience translating data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
- Project management experience; familiarity with tools such as Monday.com or Asana is a plus.
- Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in nonprofit media, journalism, or membership organizations.
- Familiarity with the Catholic nonprofit community.
Compensation and benefits:
This remote position will be full-time, with the opportunity to work in person at NCR headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. Salary is commensurate with experience, location and other relevant factors, in the range of $70,000 to $80,000 annually.
