The Ministry of Caring (MOC) is a faith-based nonprofit serving the poor and homeless since 1977 in the Franciscan tradition. The Chief Operating Officer, exemplifying MOC’s mission and values (that is, delivering the highest standard of services to the poor with dignity and respect), will assist the Founder and Chief Executive Officer by providing strategic insight in critical areas including policy, organizational initiatives, and communication with benefactors, as well as overseeing daily operations (finances, HR, grant management, facilities and funding) of the ministry’s 19 programs aimed at encouraging self-sufficiency in those we serve. In addition, the COO will share responsibility for oversight of six separate spin-off nonprofits organizations sponsored by the MOC. Applicants must have extensive and proven management experience in the nonprofit, public, or private sectors and a deep love for the poor.
