Debrah Miszak is a first-year master of fine arts student in fiction. She graduated from Michigan State University in December 2021 with dual degrees in journalism and comparative cultures and politics. Her work has appeared in Tikkun, National Catholic Reporter and U.S. Catholic. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Toledo Metroparks with her husky/Boston terrier rescue, Frodo.

Detroit Black Catholic Women's Conference focuses on pandemic inequalities

The Archdiocese of Detroit's annual Black Catholic Women's Conference, "Embracing the Light of Christ," was organized as a way of trying to reckon with the injustice Black people have experienced during the pandemic.

Gay Catholic advocacy group DignityUSA prepares to host 25th national conference

DignityUSA, an advocacy group for LGBTQ+ Catholics, is gearing up for its first in-person national conference since 2019. The group will host "Proclaiming Our Vision: Church Transfigured" in San Diego July 8-10.
