Best Thanksgiving Proclamation Ever!

Kudos to Mark Silk for unearthing this video tape of Connecticut's Governor Wilbur Cross reading his 1938 Thanksgiving Proclamation. Cross grew up not far from the town in which I grew up, went to Yale, and was elected as Governor of Connecticut four times! Hard to imagine any governor of any state today speaking in such a beautiful lyric manner. Next time you are stuck in traffic on the Wilbur Cross Parkway, do not curse the Governor whose name it bears.
