New York police officer's inspiring kindness shows city at its finest

I'm not a big fan of Andrea Peyser, a columnist with the New York Post. But last week, she wrote a good piece on what's becoming the blockbuster story of the new Christmas season: A young police officer buys a pair of boots for a homeless man on a bitterly cold evening. Take a couple of minutes and read this uplifting story.
