THOMAS BERRY FORUM for ECOLOGICAL DIALOGUE

COP15 of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity in Focus

A virtual session via Zoom, from 12 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. TuyesdaUESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2021

Join the Iona College learning community to better understand the growing crisis of diminishing biodiversity and species extinction and how we can play our part in reversing this existential crisis.

Two distinguished Iona professors, Dr. Christina Andruk, biologist and plant ecologist, and Dr. Kimberly Spanjol, environmental criminologist, will guide our inquiry against the timely background of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity conference, “Ecological Civilization: Building a Shared Future for All Life on Earth,” being held in two sessions, beginning on Oct. 11, 2021, and concluding in China in May 2022.  This conversation will be moderated by Berry Forum Director and U.N. NGO Representative, Brother Kevin Cawley, CFC.

We undertake this study session as part of our ongoing ecological education and conversion so that we might lend our energies to the great historical work of our generations: to repair and care for "Our Common Home."
