Visions for transformative climate action
The second of three online sessions in the series, "Visions for transformative climate action," brings together representatives from the scientific, policy and faith communities engaged in climate change. It is an interdisciplinary discussion on the agenda for COP26 and what this means for climate action now.
Panelists will be Sarmad Iqbal, of Islamic Relief Worldwide (Pakistan); Neil Thorns, chair of the Climate Coalition and Advocacy Director at CAFOD (UK); Professor Joyashree Roy, Bangabandhu Chair Professor at the Asian Institute of Technology and IPCC author (Thailand); Moema de Miranda,of the Churches and Mining Network and the Franciscans (Brazil); and Ovais Sarmad, UNFCCC deputy executive secretary (Bonn, Germany). The moderator will be Lindsey Fielder Cook, Representative for Climate Change and the Quaker United Nations Office (Geneva, Switzerland).
