Dr. Joe Holland, Thomas Berry scholar in residence at Iona College for fall 2021, and a panel of ecozoic practioners will explore the pivotal role of actual, thriving eco-communities within the wider global ecological renaissance. These communities — Agape Community, Hardwick, Massachusetts; Benincasa Community, Guilford, Connecticut; and Freedom Farm Community, Middletown, New York — are powerful witnesses to the possibility of radical transformation in the here and now, as they themselves actively embody deep and creative conversions in the direction of justice and sustainability.
