Doris Reisinger has a master's degree in theology and a doctorate in philosophy. She works at Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. Her research interests include the spiritual and sexual abuse of adults in the Catholic Church. In her memoir, Nicht mehr ich ("No Longer I"), she told her own story as a survivor of spiritual and sexual abuse.
