When Jesus says, "Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them," he attaches no condition. He does not add "unless their parents are undocumented," or "provided they were born to citizens."
Commentary: As people of faith who minister to migrants at the border, we have seen first-hand how fear of the other, fueled by racism and a politics of exclusion, enabled us to turn our back on the most vulnerable.
Commentary: To say that black lives matter is just another way of repeating something we in the United States seem to so often forget, that God has a special love for the forgotten and oppressed.
