Also in the Post today, a Latina who was living peacefully in Arizona, brought here when she was 14, went to her local immigration office, as she has been doing for years, but this time she was deported. She was not a criminal. She was raising her family. How does this make America safe? Or great? 

At RNS, Mark Silk on the "extreme vetting" to get into heaven, turning a recent conservative talking point on its head as only Silk can do. 

In reflecting on my birthday, I remembered it had been a longtime since I listened to a beautiful piece of music we had at one of my borthday Masses, Handel's "Will the sun forget to streak" from "Solomon." Just exquisite:
