Cynthia L. G. Kane is a U.S. Navy Chaplain and the Regional Chaplain for Navy Region Southwest, overseeing religious ministry for more than 165,000 servicemembers, their families, and DOD civilians. She earned a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary, where her dissertation, "The U.S. Military Chaplaincies’ Missing Peace," explored the role of spiritual advisement in modern warfare.

Jude Barry is a National Catholic Reporter board member who worked in NCR’s Washington Bureau as a college intern. He started his career as a press aide and speechwriter for former Massachusetts U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, and has served in senior management positions on three presidential campaigns.
