This prompted backlash from other Catholics over the decision, the public resignation of two of the magazine's editors, four public statements from Jim Wallis, editor-in-chief, attempting to provide clarification, and ultimately an apology, for the magazine's decision.

Every Friday, Global Sisters Report wraps up a week of columns by sisters with Horizons, columns by younger sisters. This week we have Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Sr. Julia Walsh, who is reflecting on "Sister Act," that 1992 movie with Whoopi Goldberg. She watched it again after many years and was reminded how the deep relationships the nuns in the movie had changed her life: 'Sister Act' put me on a path to finding my own voice.
