Monica Clark joined NCR as a West Coast correspondent in 2011 after retiring as editor of The Catholic Voice in Oakland, California, a post she held for more than 25 years and which gave her, among other things, opportunities to travel to the USSR, Middle East, India, Kenya and Haiti. In retirement she serves on the diocesan committee of the Catholic Campaign for Human Development and sings with the Berkeley Community Chorus.
