That didn't take long. About a week.
Republican House Speaker John Boehner, a Catholic, surprised many of us when he publicly made fun of his fellow Republicans as unwilling to take on the challenging task of passing immigration reform. Now Boehner regrets the modest but well-deserved public shaming of his House members.
After mocking his fellow GOP members last week for complaining immigration reform was "too hard," House Speaker John Boehner reminded House Republicans at a closed-door meeting "you tease the ones you love" but admitted he shouldn't have made fun of them publicly.
Boehner then rushed to blame President Barack Obama for the House Republicans' failure to pass any kind of comprehensive immigration reform.
