At the South Bend Tribune, Evan Smith encourages the Democrats to look to Pope Francis for guidance about how to turn their party around. I watched the Mayor of South Bend, Pete Buttigeig, in last night's DNC chair debate on CNN and he was hands down the best spokesperson for the party and the person who seemed to have the best grasp of the direction the party needs to go. And, he is a mayor and mayors are close enough to real people to know that it is okay to kick a consultant spouting nonsense off the DNC payroll.
