In this morning's WaPo, and filed under the heading "Never thought I would say it but..." Thank God for Sen. Mitch McConnell, who has told the President not to submit the Trans Pacific Trade Deal before the election. I predicted in July that the clock would run out on this deal and it appears it has.
In light of this morning's post, I searched for an English language rendition of the hymn "O Come, Divine Messiah" but it is not to be found on Youtube. But, this French original, with a great organ chorale prelude before it, is pretty fine and captures the excitement of the season:
