The Catholic faith was on rich display last night on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." Many of us have been wondering who Colbert will end up being in his new TV gig. Being a Catholic evangelist was not on any list I saw.

We were treated to television at its best as Colbert brought on Vice President Joe Biden and gave him the time to speak about his faith and personal losses. Of course, with Biden exploring a presidential run there was an unstated political element. But politics was never mentioned as you watched two men, both Catholics, speak intimately about how they have faced personal tragedy and gone on. It was inspiring. I recommend you watch this interview.
