The other day, I linked to the article at National Review in which the Catholic Republicans' A-listers urged their fellow Catholics not to vote for Donald Trump. I was thinking of penning a response, but Tony Annett at Commonweal beat me to it. His searing critique can be found here. 

And, at American Conservative, Rod Dreher raises a different set of objections to the National Review article. Remember the account of a prominent Catholic refusing to oppose the Iraq War so as not to harm the relationship with the Bush White House and the GOP the next time you hear a Catholic conservative hurl the epithet that we on the left are the "cafeteria Catholics." 

At Politico, five takeaways from last night's Democratic debate. The Dems need to keep playing nice, firm but nice, and last night they came close to the edge.
